Saw the G5800 on Ali Express for around the same price as what the Oppo 205 used to be sold for. It has all the features including a supposedly top end audio DAC (it has balanced outputs, 7.1 outputs). It also has a hard disk caddy so you can insert a drive upto 16TB in there ...It also plays SACD and DVD-Audio
From the screen shot i saw on one forum it looks like the Pioneer LX500/LX800 firmware but curious if anyone has heard any direct experiences

Hi, Giec 5800 is not a high end player but its okay. When been compared with Pannde 670, the Pannde has better build quality and noise reduction. But the PD 670 has only XLR Stereo + stereo RCA, not 5.1 RCA out. Giec 5800 uses standart DAC. Oppo 205 uses DAC ESS ES9038PRO. That is also found in Pannde PD6 elite (a 16kg player), this player is on the way to be tested first in Europe by Tocinillo ! and could be a worthy Oppo 205 / Pioneer LX800 successor.

Giec 5800 need jailbreak firmware from TNT that cost extra 50-60 Euros. The PD6 can use Oppo 205 firmware including jailbreak.
